Greene Street Friends School is a small independent school community in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, and as a Quaker institution, is rooted in the belief of “that of God” in everyone. An update of their logo and a new viewbook provided vehicles for communicating the character of Greene Street Friends to current and prospective families. The concepts were built upon the rich diversity of the school community, the emphasis on honoring of differences, and the inclusive approach to learning based on a holistic, robust curriculum focused on each student’s academic, social-emotional, physical, and spiritual development.

An Iconic Update

The existing logo, intended to represent and celebrate the diversity within the school community, was updated and modernized to reflect the iconic entryway to learning that welcomes a cohesive school community that embraces all who enter the campus.

An Expression of Beliefs

The theme for the viewbook was built upon “We believe” statements—overarching tenets that underscore all aspects of a Greene Street Friends School education. Each “We believe” statement was illustrated, in both text and photos, through powerful moments within a typical day, moments in which students experience the expression of the "We believe" tenets in real time.
