A private Christian school whose balanced integration of faith and learning teaches students from Early Childhood to Grade 12 to be confident thinkers who lead lives of purpose

When two schools with a common mission merged—Penn View Christian School (early childhood to grade eight) and Christopher Dock Mennonite High School (grades nine through 12)—they needed a new name that communicated their core strength as one entity: providing exceptional academics from a faith perspective. A new name—Dock Mennonite Academy—built on the significance of Christopher Dock, an 18th Century Mennonite educator who pioneered a shift in the philosophy of teaching to focus on the whole person by integrating academics with faith. A new tagline, Learning for Lives of Purpose, communicated the school’s commitment to providing an excellent education taught from a Christ-centered perspective, with an emphasis on service, peace and justice, community, global citizenship, and faith in action.

Two Schools Become One

Dock Mennonite Academy’s new logo brings together the best of the two existing logos, while authentically reflecting the focus on college-prep academics through a faith lens. The words “Mennonite” and “Academy” are positioned with equal weight beneath “Dock,” to graphically illustrate the complete integration of faith and learning.
