Fairwold Academy

High-quality, comprehensive academics within a therapeutic framework

When Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) acquired a school, formerly known as Wordsworth Academy, after a tragic event at an institution that shared the Wordsworth name, a new name and language that accurately reflected the important and successful work there was needed. Leapfrog conducted individual interviews and small and large group discovery sessions to gather input from the school’s various constituencies, which resulted in a new name—Fairwold Academy—and a verbal and visual identity that authentically and clearly reflects the inherent strengths of the school.

Visual Continuity and Coordination

Derived from the historic name of the mansion currently on the peaceful campus sanctuary, Fairwold was selected for its meaning: Fair, meaning good, and Wold, meaning a forest or an area of woodland on high ground. The design of the logo reflects the holistic and team-driven approach to education, which gives every student the continuity and customized coordination of care they need, and deserve, to lead productive, fulfilling lives as they choose to define them.
