The Community at Rockhill, formerly known as Rockhill Mennonite Community, is a dynamic senior living community located in the southeastern Pennsylvania suburbs. Although residents and team members come from many faith backgrounds, the organization remains rooted in and inspired by Mennonite values. A comprehensive branding project, beginning with extensive discovery conversations with staff, board, leadership, residents and families, resulted in a new organization name, logo, creative platform, and print and digital communications that authentically and accurately reflect the purpose, dignity, compassion, creativity and innovation that are hallmarks of the community and its residents.

A New Name and Logo, A True Reflection

The name shift from “Rockhill Mennonite Community” to “The Community at Rockhill,” was a seemingly small change with a big effect. By shifting the word Mennonite to the subline of the logo, an accurate reflection of the organization was achieved: Rockhill is a community founded on and grounded in Mennonite values, not a community exclusive to Mennonite residents. The logo features a visual that emphasizes the word “community,” features art that mirrors the physical layout of the campus, and emphasizes four essential ideas central to Rockhill: living, inspired, Mennonite, and values.

Vibrant Community, Vibrant Design

It was essential that the color palette and design of the print materials and website accurately reflect the vibrancy of the community and its residents. A rich combination of colors that work in tandem with one another and also distinguish each area of focus create a cohesive and authentic brand.
