Far Hills Country Day School is situated on an expansive 54-acre campus in the competitive independent school market of northern New Jersey. We began the discovery process in March 2020, just as all meetings became virtual due to Covid-19. As a result of well-attended and insightful virtual sessions, we created a verbal identity that the entire school community could embrace. The key messages highlighted the school’s unique strengths—a shared focus on academic excellence and emotional intelligence (IQ+EQ), a growth mindset resulting from a strengths-based, experiential approach to learning, and an environment where students grow inward, outward, and upward.

A Guide to the Brand, and a companion Zoom-based workshop, provided the foundation for faculty and staff to be able to internalize the key messages and make them their own by using personal experiences as proof points. The training was energizing and inspirational for the entire school community.
The Far Hills creative platform—Inward, Outward, Upward—became the unifying concept and a strategic approach to creating advertising, web content, admissions materials, and more. It included carefully written brand statements in headline form paired with inspiring visuals that work as a cohesive system for telling the Far Hills story.
